The One With The Assassin's Creed Revelations GamesCom Trailer
The buzz for this game is Ezio will retrace the steps of his ancestor Altair. Personally, I'm glad Altair is receiving a reprise in this chapter. And of course I'll be very curious to find out what's next for Desmond. You'll be seeing me at the shops picking up Assassin's Creed: Revelations on day one for sure...

The One With The Assassin's Creed Revelations CG Trailer
Another chapter in Ezio Auditore's clandestine exploits hits this year and the buzz surrounding it time around is that Ezio is poised to take his talents to Istanbul,... which was once Constantinople, but we're all heard the song. If the gameplay is similar to what you can see in this video, I can't wait to take down hordes of enemies that try to take our Italian assassin down...

The One With The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC
Single Player Trailer
Multi Player Trailer
New Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood content hits today. Both components are very much welcomed additions. Single player looks to have a meaty focus on everyone's favorite Renaissance period gadget guy, Leonardo Da Vinci, and I'm excited to see more player models for the assassin's in multi player. I'm sorta fond of the Pariah skin. If you haven't checked out the trailers for the 2 free DLC additions already released, you can check them here and here...

The One With The Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Trailer
C/O: AssassinsCreed
This game is a must have for anyone familiar with the series. Like most people before the game's release, I thought this game was gonna be a cash in on the series where the multi-player component of the game was to be the focus. That would have made it a departure from a series in which I've always felt the single player narrative to be one of it's better features. I'm pleased to tell you that while there is a great online multi-player component to the game, at it's heart, it is in fact, a lengthy and robust expansion to the Assassin's Creed series. This game picks up right where Assassin's Creed II leaves off and does a good job moving both the modern and period piece elements forward. I found the game to a bit less "vertical" but I think it's still fun figuring out how to get to the very tops of sky reaching structures. Add in a new setting with notable landmarks, an assassin guild element, and improved elements from ACII and I feel this game is definitely Game of the Year material.
In short, I say whether you're a veteran to the series or not, get this game...

The One With The Lineage Videos
More Assassin's Creed II coolness in the form of a live action prequel to the game. These videos were produced by some of the same people who did Sin City, so you'll see a bunch of live action mixed with CG backgrounds. All three episodes of the series I've collected here for easy assassinatin' access...

The One With Some TGS09 Trailers

The Tokyo Game Show has began yesterday and the video trailer blitz from the gaming media has begun. I've posted some of the trailers for the games I'm excited about.
My most anticipated for sure is Splinter Cell: Conviction which has a confirmed release date of 2/23/2010. Yay!
Of course Assassin's Creed II is looking real good too.
And just because I can't get enough of the Metal Gear series, some Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker video.
Although I gotta gripe that it's on PSP. I'd gladly wait through a longer development cycle to see this on PS3...

The One With Ezio

This Ezio guy is one serious ass kickin' assassin. The new character animations, like countering and blocking stuff, look really cool.

The whole Da Vinci Code vibe at the beginning is a nice touch. Assassin's Creed II is due out November 17th. I'm so there...

The One With The Badass Ubisoft Vids
E3 2009 is upon us and lots of exciting gaming news is now flooding the interwebs. Ubisoft, one of my favorite publishers, has just released two preview vids for the event.
The 1st one is for the much delayed Splinter Cell: Conviction. I've been following this series from the start and I highly recommend it. The story of Sam Fisher is an intriguing one, and this latest chapter looks to turn many of the series' normal conventions on it's ear.
"What happens next is up to you" Great line.
This 2nd vid, another buzzed about sequel, is for Assassin's Creed 2. Although the original didn't quite live up to the initial expectations of the gaming press, I believe this game showed a lot of promise, especially in the series' narrative department. We're all hoping this sequel can correct some of the gripes people had, while still keeping it's "stalk your prey" feel.

As for this trailer, I'm excited to see where this property goes this time around. The badassery of the game's two protagonists alone make them comparable to today's hollywood action roles. Look at the Ezio from Assassin's Creed 2. His character design is off the chain. If you've played the original, you can already imagine how rad this guy is going to look hopping rooftops. I'm most definitely gonna be hittin' the stores on release day when these games come out...
